The $300 Million Reason Why Obama Fired IG Gerald Walpin!
To a Chicago politician, what is thicker than political loyalty? There is only one answer: Money!
I am here to tell you that money is the reason behind the firing of Inspector General Gerald Walpin by the Obama Administration. Sure, there is a great affinity between President Obama, and Sacramento’s self proclaimed “Baby Obama”, but let’s be real here – Mayor Kevin Johnson was not favored by Obama’s removal of Gerald Walpin.
This is all about the money folks.
Listen to Mayor Kevin Johnson’s answer in my Friday interview.
There are over 300-million reasons why IG Walpin had to be removed; his conclusions surrounding St. Hope Academy and Kevin Johnson’s tutiledge legally prohibited the stimulus federal funding to arriving in Sacramento. Having an executive office found guilty of federal misappropriation of funds is a serious threat – not to Mayor Johnson, but to every candidate and developer with business before California’s Capitol City and County.
I believe Johnson when he told me last Friday that he has no hand in getting Gerald Walpin fired. Mayor Johnson doesn’t carry the political clout to force the hand of Barack Obama to do something this radical as a personal favor. It takes more, and for a Chicago Politician, that ‘more’ is millions of dollars attached to future political influence fueled by future contributions.
Sacramento has had a major problem with development.
Since Kevin Johnson has won the mayor’s office, new developments along K Street and the Riverfront have been birthed inside of city council. During our interview on Friday, the mayor told me that over $300 million is expected to arrive from Washington DC in a stimulus check. There are numerous developers waiting for the Obama Cash to start union filled, ‘shovel ready’ jobs for Sacramento, and the $300 million is a drop in the bucket.
There is one developer that stands out in the crowd; Angelo Tsakopoulos.
AKT Development is one of the biggest Democratic fundraisers in the state. Tsakopoulos has maxed out in contributions to Mayor Kevin Johnson, Congresswoman Doris Matsui and President Barack Obama. Why is the media ignoring this obvious trail?
Let’s change the focus, adjusting our sites toward those that stand to benefit from millions of stimulus dollars that were held up due to Walpin’s findings. The motivation is obvious; clear Kevin Johnson, and you clear the $300 million bank roll to Sacramento.
This week the media should be asking questions of Congresswoman Doris Matsui. There are a couple of questions to be asked of the congresswoman; in addition to the Mayor Johnson and Gerald Walpin termination, how about the $175,000 she gained by her real estate “deal” with Tsakopouloswhen she was told by the Democrat Party to run and replace her husband in Congress? Matsui actually admitted to the “sweet deal” in 2005.
Is Tsakopoulos asking for a “sweet deal” in return? It wouldn’t be out-of-the-ordinary for Tsakopoulos; Dad has already asked for an Obama Ambassodor position for his daughter!
Has the congresswoman had conversations about her district’s economical plight with a mayor found guilty of federal misappropriation? And who has she spoke to, and on who’s behalf?
Did Matsui encourage the termination of Walpin to favor her development contributors? It’s a worthy question; remember, the true motivation for political power is the fuel of contributions.
It stands to reason, follow the money and you find the source of the termination.

Eric, you are the man! What an inciteful analysis that is obvious now that you have pulled it together for us! Wow!!
Keep up the good work Eric. We the People are watching.
