Russia blames the US for not cracking down harder on the opium flow out of Afghanistan!

Yes I had to read this twice myself.

Afghanistan is still producing 90% of the worlds opium. The U.N. estimates that over 100,000 people die every year directly attributed to opium. Opium sales also pay for the weapons the Taliban uses against our troops. The Taliban is estimated to have made over $125 million dollars in the past three years on opium. Currently it is estimated that the Afghans/Taliban is sitting on 12,000 metric tons of the stuff that would met the world demand for the next two years. 

Russia is now the world largest consumer of heroin which is made from opium.

Last year Russia consumed 70 tons of Afghan heroin.  Annual deaths in Russia is estimated to be about 30,000.  However, Russian leaders are blaming the US and the UN for not stopping the flow of opium into their country.

Ok let me get this straight. Russia invades Afghanistan many years ago, gets it butt whipped, its troops bring back opium afterwards, and now we are to blame? Cause its grown in an area that we are fighting the Taliban? I guess when Russia admits it has a drug problem, blame the US!

And why not…they don’t have to take responsibility for the problem, and hopes we will.

I for one am not buying this load a crap from Russia. Russia…here is a newsflash…you got a problem with drugs flowing through your country then protect your own borders. I ain’t doing it for you and I am not taking the blame!  Russia you can ______ my ___!
